The main purpose is the calculation of an identifier for audio discs (Disc ID) to use for the MusicBrainz database. Additionally the disc MCN and track ISRCs can be extracted.

To install py314-discid, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install py314-discid
To see what files were installed by py314-discid, run:
port contents py314-discid
To later upgrade py314-discid, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade py314-discid
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
